Use your tongue to create double- or triple-note rhythms. Try saying “little little” while playing single notes to create a two-note sound, or “diddleup diddleup” for a three-note version. You are using your tongue to interrupt the air stream that powers the notes.

You can practice this technique using the first line of the boogie-woogie pattern. Playing with this technique over the entire song will also help you sharpen up your bending technique.
